My advice would be to think carefully about your objectives and expectations before making a decision.
For me, the real good choice would be no choice. That is to say, use paint and reinforce the decorative effect with wallpaper. And if you have difficulty getting started and daring with color or patterns, the ideal is to get help from an interior decorator who will be able to guide you and direct you towards a solution that reflects your image.

In the last project that we carried out, a house in Issy les Moulineaux on several levels to be completely renovated, the treatment of the stairs was a big challenge. Indeed, one was made of concrete, very narrow and completely open to the living room. The other, in wood, without charm and very present in the decor. Firstly, the steps, risers and railings of these two staircases were completely repainted to better blend into the decor. It was then decided to simply paint the walls of the stairs white. But we finally managed to convince our customers to install different and very decorative wallpapers on each of these staircases. Thus, we gave a rhythm and a personality to these spaces which now form a decor in their own right.

AF : Like many of us, I am increasingly concerned about ecology and environmental protection. “Eco-friendly” decoration is a big trend and that’s so much the better. You can now paint your house with ecological paints which no longer pollute the atmosphere. They are made of natural materials and are easily recognizable because they bear the “NF Environnement” label. This is my big favorite!
